Age spots are a benign and therefore harmless pigmentary disorder in the skin.
On parts of the body that are frequently exposed to sunlight (face, décolleté, back of the hand), dark spots develop with age. These spots often appear after the age of forty and can be visually disturbing. Skin lightening creams or microneedling can mitigate these appearances.
