Injecting wrinkles with the muscle-relaxing active ingredient is a classic, non-surgical treatment in aesthetic medicine. The active ingredient is used in particular to combat mimic wrinkles (dynamic wrinkles) on the face. The active ingredient is a bacterial protein that specifically blocks nerve signals for muscle contraction. Injected in very small quantities with a very thin needle under the skin into the mimic muscles of the face, these are minimally weakened and existing wrinkles, e.g. on the forehead, are reduced. It can help to remove wrinkles and restore a visibly fresh appearance.
