Keloid
Scar proliferation (keloid) refers to scar tissue that grows beyond the edges of the wound. With certain predispositions, cicatricial growths occur preferentially on the ears, sternum or shoulders.
Scar growths are characterized by a tendency to recur and can be treated with injections, compression and silicone or radiation.
