Prone position during surgery
To ensure that the surgeon has the best possible view of the surgical site, the patient is placed in various positions before the operation. In the prone position, the patient lies on their stomach, for example to perform a butt augmentation. Common positions include the supine position, the lateral position, the “beach-chair” position or sitting position and the lithotomy position.
