Quantification of breast volume as a function of age and BMI

Quantification of Breast Volume According to age and BMI:
A Three-Dimensional MRI Analysis of 400 Women

This publication provides a comprehensive overview of the use of different anesthesia techniques in breast surgery and their effects on postoperative pain and recovery. The study found that the combination of local anesthesia, intercostal block and sedation is a very effective option for breast surgery, with each technique having its own advantages and disadvantages. Patients who underwent surgery using this combination of procedures experienced less pain and recovered more quickly than patients who received general anesthesia. The study also found that the use of opioids for pain management after surgery can be reduced by using these alternative anesthetic techniques.

Overall, the study highlights the importance of personalized anesthesia plans for patients undergoing breast surgery, taking into account individual patient needs and preferences. By offering a range of anesthesia options and tailoring them to each patient, plastic and cosmetic surgery practices can improve patient outcomes and satisfaction. The results of the study can be used as a basis for clinical practice and the improvement of patient care in the field of breast surgery.

After conducting a comprehensive study to determine the optimal breast size, which was initiated and coordinated by CenterPlast, the scientific findings are now published in the ISAPS Journal, the prestigious scientific journal of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

The study concludes that the BMI (Body Mass Index) is crucial for determining a woman’s natural individual breast size. The new calculation method, which is already in use at CenterPlast, can be used for breast reductions and augmentations. It therefore also allows the appropriate implant to be determined.

You can find the breast augmentation calculator based on the new measurement method here.
